Euromex MicroBlue LCD
This microscope has all the features of the regular MicroBlue microscope such as an integrated mechanical stage, Abbe condenser and 35 mm achromatic objectives but it also features a 7” HD LCD screen. This screen allows live viewing, capturing & saving of images and videos directly to a micro SD card. It even includes a basic line measurement function.
One product area which is of interest to us is that of Faecal Parasitology and it was whilst trialling this combination for Worm Egg Counts (W.E.C.) that we suddenly realised just how useful the LCD screen is. The huge benefits that the screen provides makes microscopy much easier in terms of vision (no eyestrain) & physical comfort – it is also much more enjoyable to use & accessible for all including amateurs not experienced in viewing through the traditional eyepieces. In addition, certain procedures can be made quicker (W.E.C’s.), possibly more accurate, and photographs and videos can be taken, plus there is the benefit of teaching and group discussions.
The Euromex MicroBlue LCD Microscope is not only useful for WEC’s but can be used for most laboratory procedures which do not require magnifications of greater than 600X e.g. worm egg identification, hair/skin scrapes, urine sediments, manual cell counts. Even stained blood smears for differential WBC counts can be performed using an additional 60X (dry)objective (available to purchase separately), which is at its top limit of resolution. However, it is also possible to remove the LCD screen and replace with a binocular head and eyepieces (available to purchase separately) at any time giving a higher resolution or confirmation of detail and also complete cordless use (via batteries) if required, making the combination very flexible.
The price of this microscope with LCD Screen is more than an ordinary binocular model but we have priced it carefully to reflect the significant extra benefits it offers including a 5 year warranty on mechanical and optics (microscope) and a 2 year warranty on the screen. Just imagine being able to sit back in your chair with arms outstretched on the controls, easily viewing the image on the screen. We love it!
